REVIEW: Daddio’s Diner delicious

By Audrey Pellico

Located in downtown Batavia, Daddio’s Diner is a cozy family friendly restaurant. It has a diverse breakfast menu that attracts many people. It is open most days from 6:00 am to 7:30 pm but on other days such as Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, it closes at an earlier time.

Daddio’s Diner was voted the No. 1 Diner in the Fox Valley area during 2013 and 2014. In the “Best Family restaurant” category, Daddio’s Diner is mentioned several times. It has breakfast all the way up to dinner along with catering. It is a great hometown diner that has been serving us for  eight years. During the week, the dinner has several specials including Melt-down Monday, Taco Tuesday, and Fish Fry Friday. Also on the weekend it has food specials such as No Way Jose, Big Daddy Skillet, and Mr. Potato Head.

When it’s nice and warm outside there are seats that allow customers to sit outside and enjoy the weather. When the cold wind blows and snow is falling patrons can eat inside and drink a delicious cup of hot chocolate. While sitting inside people can appreciate the retro decor and play Daddio’s Eye Spy.

The menu has a wide variety of foods that are savory and delicious, from their enormous pancakes and cheesy omelets to their classic sandwiches. There is also an online menu that allows customers to see what they want beforehand.

Overall, Daddio’s Diner is a friendly place where the enticing food is an inviting smell. The food in general is appetizing and the workers there will make you feel at home. It is a Diner no one will want to miss out on.
