Top 5 coffee shops in Kane County
  1. Grahams 318

Not only is it in the heart of charming downtown Geneva, it also has amazing coffee. There are various options on the menu that could satisfy anyone. My personal favorite drink is their vanilla chai tea latte. They have the typical trendy coffee house drinks such as almond milk lattes, but they also have exotic specialty brews worth a try! They have a unique seasonal blend called the “Rock matcha,” a vegan Japanese matcha powder coffee with soy milk and mint flavoring. Although at first thought it sounds disgusting, many people love it. If you are not a coffee person do not stress because they have a selection of pastries and yummy gelato. Next time you are in downtown Geneva, make sure you stop at Graham’s 318.

  1. Limestone Coffee

This coffee gem is right around the corner from BHS in downtown Batavia. Limestone frequently supports the students at Batavia by showcasing their art around the unique cafe. It is a few steps away from the Fox River, so you can enjoy your cup of coffee while admiring Batavia’s beauty. The space itself is unique due to all the happy and vibrant colors. It is a great place to chill with friends or get some homework done, as well. Limestone is known for their delicious iced coffee and flavorful espressos. If you are not a coffee person they additionally have a tea bar! If you want to explore something other than Dunkin Donuts or the very basic Starbucks, give Limestone a shot!

  1. Arcedium Coffeehouse

This trendy coffee shop is in beautiful downtown St. Charles. It was also just voted “Best Coffeehouse” for the fifth year straight by the Kane County Chronicle. They have a trendy atmosphere and a huge menu with many options. Their famous specialty drink is the “Flippen Monkey.” They also are all organic and use fair trade coffee! Besides coffee, their menu also includes various fresh sandwiches and pastries. The atmosphere is very cozy, as well! I would totally recommend Arcedium Coffeehouse if you are looking for a quality coffee experience.

  1. All Chocolate Kitchen

You may hear the name and not think of coffee but don’t judge a book by its cover. This amazing shop has won many prestigious awards and was featured on Food Network. Head chef Alain Roby began his talented culinary career in Paris. After working in various countries around the world, he finally found himself in downtown Geneva. Their specialty drink is the Siphon coffee. It includes techniques of french press and drip coffee brewing. I have tried this unique drink and it is very good. When you are done with your Siphon coffee, make sure you also give their world famous chocolate a try, as well!

  1. Corner Grind

As stated on their website, “Our vision is to bring the experience of an urban coffee shop to a hometown setting where friends can gather and swap stories, share laughs, and enjoy a great cup of coffee.” The Corner Grind has successfully done this exact thing. The Corner Grind is best known for their iced coffee and the “Corner Grind Blend.” It is located in downtown Elburn, which is only a short drive from Batavia. The next time you may be in a coffee funk, stop by the Corner Grind.
