Batavia High School Dance Team is hoping to make the holidays a little brighter for needy local families this season by hosting its 5th annual Holiday Kick-A-Thon fundraiser on Friday, December 16th during half times of the Batavia High School Sophomore and Varsity basketball games against Elgin-Larkin.  The team will be accepting free-will donations during this event to benefit the Reach for the Moon Foundation.  The dancers will be doing 100 Kicks and have enlisted the help of school staff, parents and other community members to join the team on the gym floor to perform a kick-line for the crowd!  There might even be a surprise visit by one of Santa’s helpers…

The Reach for the Moon Foundation is a local non-profit organization that helps provide basic needs for children including shoes, clothing, personal hygiene products, educational material, utility assistance and much more.

The Batavia High School Sophomore basketball game is scheduled to begin at 5:45 pm and the Varsity game at 7:15 pm.  Batavia High School is located at 1201 Main Street. The BHS Dance Team invites all the community to come and support this worthwhile cause.
