Looking for a perfect slice of pizza? Pizzeria Lola is the place to go.

“A pizza slice a day keeps sadness away,” said Jet Pascal. If you’re looking for the perfect slice of pizza in order to bring out your happiness, there’s only one place you can find it: Pizzeria Lola.

I’ve had pizza from many different restaurants, but in Minnesota’s Southwest Minneapolis, Pizzeria Lola was a whole different experience. When I visited Pizzeria Lola with my family, I was planning to just have a plain cheese pizza and nothing more. However, it turned out that pizzas could be shared between family members, and that was when things took off. 

Aside from the plain cheese pizza, my favorite pizza was called the “Sunnyside,” which was a strange pizza because its toppings were guanciale, pecorino, cream, leeks, and most importantly, two sunny-side-up eggs. It might sound disgusting, but I loved it so much. In fact, Pizzeria Lola was so good that it received a visit from Guy Fieri, an American restaurateur and host of a show on Food Network called “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.” He tried the Sunnyside pizza, and “Despite his distaste for eggs, Guy indulged in the Sunnyside pizza” (Food Network). Pizzeria Lola has had such a great reputation, and is so great that Food Network gave it a five-star rating. 

However, it’s not just Food Network who has fallen in love with Pizzeria Lola; OpenTable has given Pizzeria Lola a score of 4.7 out of five stars, and Restaurantji had a poll in which 1307 people gave Pizzeria Lola 4.9 out of five stars.

Now people might think that Chicago has the best pizza, or that there are other places beside Pizzeria Lola that serve better pizza, but to be honest, there is no other pizza I’ve tried that has come close to that of Pizzeria Lola.

All in all, if you’re looking for spectacular pizza with amazing and quirky twists, Pizzeria Lola is the place to go.
