Soccer season started up this week and the Batavia bulldogs kicked it off with a win against Bartlett 1-0. Senior Abi Edwards, three-year varsity member who is committed to Wheaton College, started off the season with an assist and a win over Bartlett High School. Edwards is a highly involved student being in student council, Chromatics, Swingsingers (Choir groups), golf, and various honor societies all while playing soccer.
Q: What are you most excited for this season?
A: “It’s my senior season so I’m really excited about that, and getting to win and build memories with the team.”
Q: How many returning varsity members are there?
A: “We have 11 returning members, 5 seniors and 6 juniors.”
Q: What do you like most about Batavia soccer?
A: “I love the environment and being a part of the team.”
Q: How is the season going so far?
A: “We’ve played two games and are 1-1. We have another game on Saturday and are looking for another win.”
