REVIEW: Walmart brand TV stand

By Emma Olberg

Looking for a new tv stand, but don’t want to spend a fortune? Look no further than your local Walmart. ‘Mainstays,’ an exclusive Walmart brand, offers different types of home furniture, such as shelves, desks, couches, and side tables.  The Parsons 42-inch TV stand is available in multiple colors and is affordably priced.

The simple but modern design has a pleasing aesthetic that is sure to fit in any home decor. It is designed to hold up to a 50-inch or 55-pound television. It comes with adjustable shelves that can be styled in many ways. It even has room for square fabric bins that can be used for storage. It also has ample room for a cable TV box, Blu-Ray player, or video game system.

The Parsons TV stand assembles with ease. Not only does this kit come with printed instructions with diagrams, it also includes a QR code to an app called “BILT”. BILT is an app that gives step by step instructions with an automated voice telling you how to put the TV stand together. The printed directions and diagrams were very clear and easy to follow, however the automated voice instructions from BILT bring a whole new level of helpfulness.

The automated BILT voice instructions and animations serve as a personal assistant to the consumer. The BILT app allows the builder to pause the instructions, or go back and hear the instructions again, with an animated diagram. Bravo to Walmart for including the BILT app in their furniture kits to assist the consumer.

The Mainstays Parsons TV-stand is an excellent choice for any home. It is stylish, it is easy to assemble, and it is sure to add to the aesthetic of any home. Go check out the Mainstays collection at Walmart the next time you need an affordable home furniture solution.
