Q&A with Stephanie Garcia

Stephanie Garcia is a senior at Batavia High School. She moved to Batavia in sixth grade and made plenty of friends since then. She holds a good relationship with her family and has decent grades at school. She also works a part-time job at Pal Joey’s. Juggling all of that and having a relationship with her boyfriend in college is a big task for anyone.

Q: Why did you get a job?

A: “I wanted to become more independent from my family and buy things for myself.”

Q: Do you have a way to manage school work and actual work?

A: “I only work Fridays and Saturdays. I have Sundays off to do homework, and since Mondays are slow my work allows me to do homework there.”

Q: How much time do you spend with your friends?

A: “Not alot. I hang out with friends like once a week.”

Q:Do you ever find it overwhelming to juggle everything?

A: “Homework makes everything overwhelming like I don’t have any time.”

Q: What do you plan on doing as high school comes to an end?

A: “I’m going to go to college and study to be a pediatrician. “

Q: How long do you plan on working at Pal Joey’s?

A: “I plan to work there until I go to college or get a better job.”

Q:Would you want to go away for college?

A: “No, I would like to stay in state because of money mostly. Also, I would feel weird. I would miss home too much and all the family I have here.”

Q: What makes all of this worth it?

A: “My baby sister Vanessa makes it worth it. She is adorable and makes everything better. She always makes me happy when I am sad.”

Q: How would you describe your relationship with your friends?

A: “I would say I am very close with my friends.”

Q: Would you change anything about these aspects in your life?

A: “I would not change anything in my life right now because I feel that it’s pretty good.”
