‘To All the Boys’: The movie of the decade

By Grace Regnier

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, the movie that has all of Netflix users talking is one of the most romantic movies of the entire decade.

It’s the type of movie that will make the viewer want to watch again, even if it’s the day after. It’s also the movie that has made all the girls watch it go crazy. Girls want a guy to treat them the way that Peter Kavinsky, played by Noah Centineo, but he is a true heart-throb.

It all starts out with Lara Jean (Lana Condor) who is a 16-year-old girl who is obsessed with romance novels and loves being alone or hanging out with her sister. Then comes alone Peter Kavinsky who has just got broken up with by his ex-girlfriend.

They both need ways to forget their past relationship failures, so they find each other. It was not all smooth sailing but it ended in an interesting way, make sure to watch all the way to the end of it.

This film does a good job of diversity by having inter-mixed couples and mixed families. Peter and Laa are an racially mixed couple and they are the main characters in the movie.

The storyline does a good job of never being predictable and the viewer will never know what’s coming up next.

It also has real life issues throughout the movie, Lara does not have a mom and she missed her a lot in different parts of the movie. It also talks about missing a sister who goes away to college, a lot of people deal with the fact that they don’t get to see their siblings who are away at college very often.

All in all, To All the Boys I Loved Before is a romantic movie that is definitely a movie to add to the watch list, and it should be on the top of the watch list.
