  1. Ralph Breaks the Internet

The sequel to Wreck-It Ralph is coming and everyone is hyped for it. Director Rich Moore returned with new ideas that would update characters and explore new online gaming. Ralph Breaks the Internet will include lots of cameos and references to video games. It will come to theaters on Nov. 21.

 

  1. Aquaman

Aquaman is getting his own movie with Jason Momoa returning as the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. Momoa appeared in DC’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017) as the undersea superhero. The highly anticipated film comes out on Dec. 21.

 

  1. Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch

This is the third screen adaption of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! By well-known children’s author, Dr. Seuss. Actor, Benedict Cumberbatch is to play the very iconic, grumpy green creature, the Grinch. It will premiere in theaters on Nov. 9.

 

  1. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

This movie is based on the Marvel Comics story of Miles Morales. He is a character from the Marvel Universe who is of Puerto Rican and African American descent, therefore, making the character different than Peter Parker. The animated film comes to theaters on Dec. 14.

 

  1. Creed II

This is the second installment for the story of Adonis Creed. The Creed movies are a spin-off and sequel to the Rocky film series. Creed II is about Adonis Creed accepts a challenge from Viktor Drago, Ivan Drago’s son. Ivan was the man who killed Creeds’ father in a boxing match. Rocky Balboa also appears in this film, being Creed’s mentor and coach. It will come to theaters on Nov. 21.

 

  1. Mid90s

Mid90s is coming age film about a 13-year-old boy named Stevie who starts to hang out with a group of friends that introduce him to the world of recklessness and excitement. This film was written and directed by actor Jonah Hill. This is his directorial debut and has received critical acclaim. It opened in theaters on Oct. 19.

 

  1. Bohemian Rhapsody

It is a biographical film about British rock band Queen but mainly focuses on lead singer Freddie Mercury’s life. Mercury is portrayed by Emmy-winning actor, Rami Malek. This is the first major motion picture for a biopic of the legendary band, Queen. Bohemian Rhapsody is set to open in theaters on Nov. 2 in the United States.

 

  1. Beautiful Boy

Beautiful Boy is another biographical film that deals with a teenage boy (Nic Sheff) who has a drug addiction that strains the relationship with his family. His father does everything he can to save Sheff and his family from this serious issues. Sheff is played by Oscar-nominated Timothée Chalamet and Sheff’s father portrayed by actor Steve Carell. Chalamet and Carell’s performances are already getting Oscar buzz. It came out in selected theaters on Oct. 12.

 

  1. Wild Life

This film a drama set in the 1960s about couple Jeannette and Jerry Brinson who recently moved to a new location with their teenage son Joe. Tension builds up after Jerry is fired from his job. Oscar-nominated Jake Gyllenhaal portrays Jerry and critically acclaimed actress, Carey Mulligan portrays Jeannette. It came out in theaters on Oct. 19.

 

  1. Suspiria

Suspiria is an Italian supernatural horror film directed by Luca Guadagnino. It is set in 1970s Berlin and it is about a young American dancer who attends a dance academy that is run by a coven of witches. Suspiria  is a remake of the same name of the 1977 film that was directed by Italian film director, Dario Argento. It will come to theaters on Oct. 26.
