By Carson Bollinger

Batavia High School students and their love for food really shows. From best to worst, we go through the best meal options for students.

Sandwich Bar

The sandwich bar is easily BHS students’ favorite lunch option because of the quality of the sandwiches. Sandwiches are normally served with turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo, with additional toppings like extra meat and vegetables.

Bosco Stix

Bosco Stix have become almost a fan favorite to the school because of the versatility they now offer. Each Bosco stick is a cheap $1.75 each that is sold as single sticks, perfect for a small, filling option.

Pizza

The pizza at BHS comes in a variety of classic slices to choose from. The normal daily rotation consists of cheese, pepperoni, and sausage pizza, with occasional specialty slices like supreme, bacon and pepperoni, and even mac ‘n cheese.

Salad Bar

The salad bar makes it easy to custom-create the perfect salad for your desire. The bar acts as a Subway in the sense that a customer is able to add whatever toppings they would like to the salad mix. Salads are served in a plastic container so that if a student has leftovers, they are easily able to reseal the plastic clamshell and take it with them for the rest of the day.

Spicy Chicken Sandwich

Chicken sandwiches are served along with the premade cheeseburgers and hot dogs. There are now three different options of chicken sandwiches to choose from: Spicy chicken sandwich, breaded chicken sandwich, and spicy breaded chicken sandwich. All of these options are great for a quick meal, but the spicy chicken sandwich stands out because, of course, the spiciness.
